How will I know if the resources have been modified for a scheduled visit?

To see if a resource has been modified, you should compare the resources used for the scheduled visit with the resources used in the visit template. If there are differences, it is very likely a different resource or a standard alternate was used when scheduling. Please contact your institution or CRC to confirm. Also, your institution or CRC administration may be able to run a report on resource modifications.
